Technology & Engineering Expertise

Engineering Built on Experience. Manufacturing Built on Know-How.

For more than 50 years, Dass Engineering has been designing and manufacturing tooling and machinery for the plastic pipe industry.

Our engineering expertise comes from combining decades of practical experience with in-house design, precision machining, quality materials and hands-on manufacturing knowledge.

From the initial design to the finished product, our manufacturing process is carried out under one roof. This gives us direct control over the important stages of production and allows us to develop products with actual industrial requirements in mind.

Innovative Solutions for Growth

Explore our comprehensive selection of services that cater to a variety of needs, ensuring complete customer satisfaction.

Our greatest engineering strength is the experience we have accumulated over more than five decades.
Over the years, we have worked with a wide variety of plastic pipe applications, tooling requirements and downstream machinery. This experience has given us a practical understanding of what works not only on a drawing, but also on the shop floor and in actual production.
We combine this accumulated knowledge with modern design and manufacturing methods to develop tooling and machinery that are practical, reliable and built around the customer’s application.

Expertise in Plastic Pipe Tooling

Expertise in Plastic Pipe Tooling

Our core engineering experience lies in tooling for the plastic pipe industry.

We manufacture dies for:

  • PVC / UPVC/ HDPE/ CPVC pipes
  • Other plastic pipe extrusion applications
  • Customized pipe tooling according to specific requirements

Our experience across different plastic materials and applications allows us to approach tooling requirements from a practical production perspective.

Our expertise extends beyond extrusion dies.

We also manufacture a range of downstream machinery used in plastic pipe production, including:

  • SWR Pipe Socket Machines
  • Plain Socket Machines
  • Slotting Machines
  • Grinders
  • Pulverizers
  • Other customized downstream machinery

Understanding both the tooling and downstream stages gives us a broader view of the pipe manufacturing process and the relationship between different components of a production line

We believe that the performance of a product begins with the material from which it is manufactured.

For our die moulds, we use certified EN8 and EN9 grade materials, selected according to the application and component requirements.

For relevant gun-metal components, we use British Standard LG4 grade gun metal.

We place importance on material quality because the choice of material directly influences the durability, machining characteristics and performance of the finished component.

For us, material is not simply a cost consideration—it is an engineering decision.

Hard Chrome Plating

The surface quality of an extrusion die is an important part of its performance.
Where hard chroming is required, our dies are provided with a minimum hard chrome thickness of 40 microns.
The chrome-plated surface is intended to provide the required surface characteristics and wear resistance for demanding production applications.
Our emphasis on material selection, machining and surface treatment is part of our overall approach to producing durable tooling.

Precision Measurement & Quality Control

Precision manufacturing requires accurate measurement at every important stage.

Our facility is equipped with a range of precision inspection and measurement equipment, including:

  • Vernier calipers
  • Micrometers
  • Bore gauges
  • Height gauges
  • Dial gauges
  • Thread gauges
  • Screw gauges
  • Other supporting inspection equipment

These instruments allow us to check critical dimensions, fits and features during manufacturing and before the final product is approved.

Trial Fitting & Actual Testing

Our quality process does not stop with dimensional inspection.

Where required, we also carry out trial fitting, assembly checks and actual machining or application trials.

This practical approach allows us to verify how components fit and function together and helps identify issues that may not be apparent from measurements alone.

Our approach can be summarized as:

This combination of engineering design and hands-on testing reflects the practical experience that we have built over decades.

Not every customer requirement is standard.

Our in-house design and manufacturing capabilities allow us to work on application-specific and customized requirements.

Depending on the requirement, we can develop new designs, modify existing designs and manufacture components according to specific customer needs.

Because design, machining, inspection and testing are handled within our organization, we can maintain continuity throughout the development process.

Over more than five decades, we have built our business around quality, reliability and customer trust.

Our customers are spread across different parts of India, giving us experience with a broad range of production requirements and applications.

The goodwill we have earned over the years is an important part of our engineering identity.

For us, experience is not simply the number of years we have been in business. It is the knowledge accumulated from thousands of practical manufacturing decisions, customer requirements, machining challenges and production applications over those years.
